    How to not use arctic silver grease....

    I removed a HS (Heatsink) and found out that the reason for the computer to not boot.

    The owner had smeared Arctic silver in great quantities and then used a HS with a preinstalled TIM (the bubblegum pink pos material on many POS HS)!!

    It looked a wolcano had erupted.....
    If there's artificial intelligence, there's bound to be some artificial stupidity.

    Ooops

    Still I had some Artic silver suddenly decide to squirt out all over my amd chip once. It was good cleaning that up.

      Tommorow I'll check if the CPU is alive or rather if the motherboard survived
