I think the PS pic looks a little dirty, and has a harder gradation.
The impression of enhanced detail seems to actually be mostly noise, in my opinion.
For a portrait I would prefer the PP output, at least if I envisage the full size of the picture at that scale.
But for another type of motif, say a landscape scenery, maybe the PS output would be more preferable.
Skin tones are particurarly nasty to deal with, and we humans are extraordinarily sensitive to facial images. I think that´s why many people prefer portraits to be somewhat soft.
