    36-39 degrees!!!
    Idle --> Full load!!

I'ts like being back at K6 233 at winter!
    Watercooling is incredible!!

Ambient temp is about 22.8-23 depending on where in the room!
    The water is 28.
    The waterblock is 33.
    Chipset HS is 42-44 !?!

    Great!!

Did some remodifications to the water kit....
Exchaged some tubes for slightly longer cause the had a tendency "bend" themself and impair flow
      But thats fixed now....

I seriously think about getting a better radiator....

Aquarium silicone sealer works. The sharp threads on my plexi reservoir would cut the teflon tape on the fittings as I screwed them in. Ended up with a seeping fitting. And you can't get too carried away tightening a tapered thread brass fitting into the plexi or it will crack. All I had handy was a tube of aquarium sealer, works great.

Not only did I get the AX7 i ordered 2 months ago, they have at last got Waterwetter in stock (And all the other stuff that they said that they should have in stock last month ) !

But they still don't offer any watercooling kits

Isn't there a chance of water condensation in these types of setups?? Especially in humid environments.

only if the water is cooler than the ambient temp

Which Black Ice, the Pro or Extreme? Both are 120mm fan sized but the difference is the Extreme has a second row of tubes so it's thicker and capable of rejecting more heat.

I have two Black Ice Extreme's, one in a full and one in a mid tower. I consider them a costly, space saving alternative to a larger, less expensive heater core that may not fit in your application. They perform very well for their size, and are within 2C of a larger 6" x 6" (152mm x 152mm) core. There are some color choices other than basic black, including chrome and gold plate, depending on what model you choose. Pricing varies with these options of course.

Though it's convenient to direct mount fans to them, I extend the shrouding to increase the distance from the fan to the core. It improves the airflow through the entire core and reduces the noise. With direct mounting, the fan is only about 3/16" (5mm) from the core.

I cut sections from a 6-32 (3mm) threaded rod and stud mount them to the fans/case. You do have to finess the studs through the mounting holes of the radiator and work them through the fins of the core. It helps to grind a blunt rounded edge on one stud to get them started. I think it's much easier method than trying to get the perfect length short screw that won't extend in too far and puncture a tube while mounting a fan. I used a 120mm fan shell as a spacer shroud in the full tower. Some use nuts to stand the fan off from the core and wrap tape/cardboard/thin plexiglas, around the gap between the fan and radiator to seal it.

For real tight spots, there is the Black Ice Micro which is 80mm fan sized. Some have been using two of these in parallel and get pretty good results. They are starting to become popular with folks who have the LianLi PC60 type cases.

As I'm not going to mount it in my case I'm thinking about the Black Ice II.
My case are already filed to the brimm and I never attend to lan parties

                      The water wetter has arrived

Just got the damn bottle, no instructions, nada, zilch, zip nothing
After hunting down three different mixture recommendations I tried to convert the damns “oz” “gallons” “quarters” into something a metric taught person could understand….
                      Made some gross miscalculations
The water got pink and those damn bubbles that had stuck in the radiator and flow indicator suddenly got a in a real hurry
After that I found out that Gtek now did state the amount in one bottle, and then it was rather easy to calculate how much mixture to replace with pure water to get a correct mixture
Now I think I have got the mixture about right (I think )
Now I’m really sure I’m going to get a Black Ice radiator (the Poseidon sucks)!

                      The learning experience continues
