  • MicroATX, DDR333, 400/533... Mobo

    Hi

I'm very disappointed by this ECS P4S5A ver 1.X... okay at this price I shouldn't be disappoint, I should have expected it. But it is not the main reason I want to change motherboard.

I want to buy a MicroATX board instead of a normal ATX to fit in my new custom case. My selection criteria is...

    - MicroATX (doh)
    - Supports DDR333, or even 400!!
    - Supports 533MHz FSB natively, in case I want to upgrade later.
    - 3 PCI, 4 USB... etc
    - Onboard audio (6-ch) and LAN would be great! This is a plus.
    - MUST be overclockable... this ECS P4S5A is either 100 or 133MHz FSB... for a 1.9GHz it can't really reach 133...
    - Not VIA chipset.

So far I've only found one - the Gigabyte one. A bit expensive for a MicroATX board though, about 70GBP and is out-of-stock.

Any suggestions? Anything I should avoid?

    Thanks.

If you can get your hands on the Shuttle FS51 MiniATX board that should serve your needs quite nicely. Only problem is that it seems like you can only get it with the Shuttle SS51G XPC. Might want to try out this DG:
