I like many kinds of music, Led Zeppelin for example. Their recordings were terrible. How do they sound on your system ?

I haven't listened to any Zeplin on my system. Metallica, Rammstein and most metal sounds good. Techno sounds okay as long as the recording is clean. Pop music sounds....well, I'm not a pop/rap fan, but my wife has stuck some on and it sounds okay...I guess.

I think everyone agrees that cables make a difference in the sound. It's just that some of us think that the difference isn't worth paying a lot of money for.

I've listened to Led Zep on the system here. Of course it doesn't sound as good as most classical or jazz recordings, but it's listenable. I have the 10 CD boxset, which is the same sound-wise as the regular remastered CDs. The vocals are sometimes drowned out by the guitars, and it's kind of bright, but overall the remastering seems OK. Doesn't sound compressed either.

        Speaking of dynamic compression...

Just went from some AR 12guage speaker wire with AR Banana plugs to some Tara Labs Prism Biwire and I really to have to say the difference is ENOURMOUS with my KEF Q1's. The highs/mids/midbass really livened up.....

          Next step...replace sub....

I've got a NAD 902 amp coming my way in a few days, which should be a bit better than the amp on my Harman Kardon AVR55 reciever.....
