    HERE is one due out before Christmas. Just had to point it out.

    Gigabyte 8INXP - Pentium 4 2.8@3.4 - 1GB Corsair 3200 XMS - Enermax 550W PSU - 2 80GB WDs 8MB cache in RAID 0 array - 36GB Seagate 15.3K SCSI boot drive - ATI AIW 9700 - M-Audio Revolution - 16x Pioneer DVD slot load - Lite-On 48x24x48x CD-RW - Logitech MX700 - Koolance PC2-601BW case - Cambridge MegaWorks 550s - Mitsubishi 2070SB 22" CRT

    Our Father, who 0wnz heaven, j00 r0ck!

    Give us this day our warez, mp3z, and pr0n through a phat pipe.

      Well, these are coming out sooner than I thought. Seagate is planning to have these puppies out by the end of October.

        aparently i have no choice but to wait it out till next summer anyway.... so by then the competition would have something in and prices go down......

          Yup next summer would be just nice to make a new pc, need to start saving now for Matrox Parhelia (P2 on 0.13u@agp8x??), AMD Hammer, DDR400 and serial ata hdds.. they should have solved most of the incompatibilities and standardization by then *grin*

            I still can't find a price tag on this particular HD yet. I doubt SATA would be priced much higher than Ultra ATA if at all (or you would hope not).
