I'm putting together a system for a friend of mine and I was wondering what would be a decent priced 17in CRT monitor to get him. To make stuff a bit easier...look at Newegg.com stuff since thats where I'm getting the rest of his stuff from

They're the best when it comes to pro monitors. I would also suggest an LG Flatron 795FT, as far as I know, it's the only flatscreen monitor without those annoying damper wires across the screen. Image is very crisp on mine and the price is quite good as well.All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

LG was the other company I was going to mention along with EIZO. LG does sell stuff here, but it's mostly crap.Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.
