Let's look at another "extreme" pc

I want a system made by PcChips. But not just the mobo, I want them to make EVERY componant with the same quality they make their motherboards! And I request FAKE cache too! Low quality resistors and capacitors! I even want then to assemble it!

It's an EXTREME system, but on the other extremity of the specturm!
Titanium is the new bling!

Zokes, you realize that PC Chips would have to commission Abit to make some of those shoddy parts. I mean, a company can only produce so much crap....
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

You have a point.

Then I would get PcChips to make as many parts as possible.

And I just realized something too. Just to get things cleared in case anybody was wondering, my so called "crappy" machine is still categorized as a dream machine, if you can count nightmares as dreams that is!

Your RAM will be incompatible with your mobo (the S2466 only supports PC2100, not PC2700).
This is wrong... any MB which will support PC2100 mem will work with PC2700 (and even higher)

Plus, it comes with a NIC on-board, so unless you need 2 NIC's, the 2nd one is quite unnesecary.
I've run dual nics and had the need for doing so.

Also, your paying too much.
We all have our favorite places to purchase hardware, don't knock another who may be paying more.

...how can I ever have an extreme dream machine when I'm always dreaming up something new?
How can you possibly take anything seriously?
Who cares?

Sinistral and Wombat,

I said:
Please use available parts (things you can easily get locally)
I used stuff that was available in a single store where I usually buy my PC hardware.

Man what is wrong with you guys and abit??
MY BX6 5 years old is still running smoothly
Never had any HW issues with it. ABIT RULES

Now seriously is it that bad?? At least my impression from my current board is very positive.
Actually I was so happy with it I bought a BX6ver2 for my PC at home.
