  • Sasami2k build 804

Well i stumbled across this link while surfing ... its Sasami2k build 804

This is still beta i think, and the readme file hasnt been updated so it shows info on 757 ... I just downloaded it so i`ll see whats new in this build

BTW, if you get the menus in Korean (unrecognizable symbols), open Sasami2k.ini, find Sasami.Preference.LanguageFile=Korean.ini and change it to English.ini.

Oh... I might just give this a try. The 757 build isn't all too bug-free.

Nah, if you can't dload from there try this.

<small>Edit: Oh, I see what you mean, there seem to be some strange backslashes in the original address... This might work better?

          Hm....

yeah, I did try to fix it but I seem to have got the "-" to be "/" also on my third try and then I gave up

                Ahrm.

Well, it works. Sorta. Defaults to using the DSP_Rocksteady Winamp plugin, which of course is missing. Had to hunt it down (no easy task). I'll let you all know what my impressions are when I've had more time to play.

Well, it seems to have a couple of new features like using it for TV reception if you have a TV card in your box, DVD play (havent tried it yet, got to get a DVD first ) or positioning the screen on your desktop etc... Havent noticed any bugs _yet_

edit: Apart for searching for the winamp plugin the first time it starts ...

Well I think it searches for the winamp plugin because this is some tester's personal build and they had that plugin activated. Notice that this is NOT an installer, just a self-extracting zip archive.

I wonder whatever happened to Nuclei? I mean, this build is pretty old (was gonna be posted a year ago but there were "problems") and then he just disappeared?

                        Yikes!

Am I the only one to see this???

It starts up all movies double-size, calls it "normal size", and when you try to reduce it to "half size" to compensate, it shrinks the interface bar and whatnot as well!

                        EEK!

Sorry folks, I'll be sticking with 757 (or WMP9).

Gurm, seems like supersampling is enabled by default (it does just this, plus enabling a couple of video filters). You can disable it in the control (or was it playback?) entry in the menu.
