  • Another round of leaked Creative drivers- v5.12.1.283

    on Warp2Search

they seem to work on my Live! 5.1

Yeah, again in multiple flavors. These are the Audigy 2 drivers from the CD that ships with Audigy 2's...

I got the full distro of them, and they sound BETTER overall on both Live! series cards AND Audigy 1. Additionally, they ship with Win9x VDM's, as well - something that only creative is still doing, it seems.

Yuck, the WinXP drivers utterly kill system performance. This is while PLAYING a MP3 with media player and a SBLive!...

TUSL2-C, Intel 815EP chipset. For some reason it was sharing IRQ 20 with the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System". The drivers seemed to be fine on Win98, and strangely enough, even without the APIC controller support with the older O/S, there was NO sharing of any IRQ's. I just moved the SBLive! to a different slot and it's now on it's own IRQ, I'll reinstall the drivers and see what happens.

I thought the sblive's weren't too good with apic and were happier without this activated.
