And why didn't the "use MS DOS" option work?
If you're running win2k/xp or ME and create a boot disk the options are msdos and the other pc-dos. If you click on the msdos option nortons will ask for the files. So you slap a bootable floppy in and comes back and says can't find the files needed.
The only option then is PC-DOS and I've had problems with this with invalid partition table reported or insufficent disk space (When there was sufficent room) or when I deleted old images to make room the space wasn't released and I got the insufficent disk space message again. Working with MS-Dos boot disk solved all these problems.
