  • Kyle at Hard OCP Looking like an Ass!

It looks like Mr. Kyle, I will whine about not getting my way, Bennet has lost nearly all credibility. We already knew what a dimwit he was before, but now even his own little legion of followers sees the dipshit for what he is.

To read about the assclown and his recent big goof:

Discuss anything you want here folks. A place for computer junkies to boldly post Off Topic... Rant and rave if it is necessary, but just try to keep it clean!

Enough reading there to show the story.

    Enjoy!

    Tee hee!

Not that I ever had much against [H]ardOCP, but it's nice to see them getting some righteous backlash for screwing up, denying they made a screwup and finally banning everyone who said 'Hey, you've screwed up there'.
Nobody likes self serving draconian moderators.

I'm just waiting for this story to get on the likes of The Register or The Inquirer. 'Tis daily food to them.

I read this earlier and while I did not see the higher score, even the scores that are in the review now are highly questionable.

Banning anyone who is just asking 'bout the incident is proof enough.

And it will cause major harm to [H], seems they already had to disable new registrations to their forum by now. They might even end up in having to close the forum down for a while...

EDIT: Actually it seems as if they have had to close the forums down

Seems like a case of a three and an eight getting typed in wrongly. However denying it and banning people for spotting it is childish.

It goes beyond the switching of the charts without notice, it is also about the fact that the benchmarks for the 3.06 are not in line at all with the increase that would be expected. Other sites had increases and scaling that were linear, but for some reason Steve and Kyle's results were a huge jump for the 3.06. over 1K points by moving from a 2.8 to a 3.06, other sites were seeing closer to 400. The links above show that the card was probably overclocked for the tests on the 3.06, or the results were made up.

It is also that they denied changing the graphs, called people out right liars, and even banned some individuals because of the curiosity.

Yes they are childish as I've said. They should also come clean on how they tested. It may have been at a completly different resolution or depth. Also isn't the site sponsored by Intel.

You cant' really type an 8 instead of a 3 by mistake - that's quite some keys there in between.

If you've followed the [H] forum, threads that were even only politely asking about this issue were immediately deleted and the respective posters banned. The "reviewer" (Steve) when confronted with the original picture showing the too high result (from someones browser cache) outright called it "a fake".
Looks like a big try to cover up things.

And to make it even worse they even tried to hide the massive banning of long-time posters with several thousand posts with not putting a "Banned" under their user names (which is the normal appearance for banned members there).

Now the cover-up of course didn't succeed, the news floated all over the web. The latest thing is they're suddenly claiming that it was just a mistake, and they just forgot a note that the graph was changed?
If it's that simple why did they first claim the original graph to be a fake and ban everyone that claimed to having seen this graph in the original review??

You don't need more proof, now do you? This review was bought by Intel to hype their decent but way overpriced new chip!
Kyle and his gang are a bunch of bribed cheaters and they're even dumb at doing so...

P.S.: No wonder Matrox didn't want to give a card to a site with so much integrity...
Wait a moment, maybe they should have sent a Parhelia and pack it in $$$, I'm sure Kyle would've found some interestingly high 3DMark scores, then...
