  • Granite Bay & mobo questions...

My friend just told me that 16 chip DDR modules will not work in dual channel... is that true? Damn I just bought 2 sticks

And before Granite Bay is affordable, is MSI I845E MAX2 a good choice? Or is MSI 645 MAX better?

    Thanks.

Double sided x 16 DDR DIMMs are not supported by the Intel E7505 (max. 16GB) or E7205 (max. 4GB) MCH.

Now, is that 16 (18) chip total with 8 (9) each side?

        Or,

32 chip total, 16 on each side?

Sorry, for some reason I can't make it out from what's said here.

Numbers in brackets are (usually) the number of chips on an ECC Dimm.
