Dude, how about you just send ME the money? Between this PSU and your useless SCSI plans, you're wasting your money anyway, so you might as well just give it to someone.Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

Wombat, that's your opinion. Sorry you feel that way. Hell, **** it. I'm not saying a thing more about it. Not even posting pics.System Specs:

Oh come on, we're just teasin. Shoot there are many here that have highly modded their cases.
To some of us it's overkill... money best spent on what's truely important, hardware/software (or a life , but regardless it's your money, do as you please"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." -- Dr. Seuss

Nuno, I wouldn't bother asking here. If you're going to get one that they don't recommend, then they get all over you for it. I mean, they know all, listen to them. Whatever they say goes, cause they are the gods of the computer industry...
I'd ask at HardForums, StorageReview.com, or even Rage3D. You'll get more help from them than you would here.System Specs:

And then there's always the people like myself, who aren't rich enough to keep up so we end up doing whatever we can to improve performance.
I should post a pic of the top of my tower. I didn't have a saw or anything to make it I used a drill for the WHOLE hole, I got a few laughs but my case temp dropped some 15ºC!Titanium is the new bling!

Well, despite this thread turned into a pro/against mod just stoped by to say I did a little research about Power supplies and PFC/non-PFC, active/passive PFC, and I did notice the thermaltake didn´t even have PFC.
I bought a Chieftec 360W active PFC/dual fan and it´s excellent. Sharp and stable voltages on every line. Very silent too. Highly recomended and affordable at only 65€ (taxes included).
edit: dual fan, not dual ps...he he.Last edited by Nuno; 29 November 2002, 17:57.
