a week ago I managed to solve my problems.... I thought I might just post it here to let u guys know about it
Abit apparently has TWO websites for some weird reason... and they both dont have the SAME version on the drivers they offer to their customers. grrrrr
www.abit.com.tw has ALWAYS been the site techsupport tell me to download bios'es and drivers from...
... but I looked at www.abit-usa.com, and they offfer COMPLETELY different sets of drivers for the BX133-RAID mobos.... they even have XP specific drivers
anyway, to make a long story shorter; I downloaded abit-usa's drivers, and now everything works perfectly
