  • Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 = the DEVIL

Picked one of those puppies up at BB last week for a whopping $100. Downloaded the latest driver/program for it from their website. However, it kept corrupting video clips I would take, etc. So I downloaded some patch from their website, and installed it. Doesn't matter. The program constantly locks up my system, corrupts files, and even causes BSODs.

I'm running a kt133a on WinXP. Any ideas?

    Have you tried a priest?

LOL, I have actually brought the issue up to the Cardinal. He has come over personally with the intent to exorcise the demon, but to no avail.

Sounds like a piece to me.

VIA + Logitech Quckcam = trouble.
If you can get a USB 2.0 add on card cheap try using that. My quickcam (express) behaves a lot better if it is connected to the USB 2.0 card than to the onboard usb.

Take my advice and dump that Kt133a chipset. Buggiest load of trash ever released. The one I had I threw in the bin after I upgraded.

I'm kinda in the process of that now, after all of this.

but i have to wait for my 200GB WD SE drive to get here so I can suck my RAID array dry, THEN ditch the board, and then get another one.

Dunno whether i should go all out and get an nforce2 (which i can't find right now), or get a diff board. I'd really like to have 4 on board IDE channels tho.
