For the USB controller, 5.0.2183.1 dated 11/14/1999, provided and WHQL signed by Microsoft, so I guess it's the ones that came with the Windows installation ?

      AGP 113

and I know I'm asking for it, some leaked by MSI 2.03 IDE drivers.

I was talking about the mouse drivers. I've just downloaded some dated 12/2002 from genuis web site and so far this seems to have cured the problem. The ones that shipped with the mouse were labeled beta on the website.

if you dod the full install of the agp113 driver from sis, it will put a program called htpatch.exe in your registry startup list, it is for USB

Then it might mean that we don't have the same mouse, the Easy Mouse Pro, Easy Mouse+ or Mouse Mate Series drivers don't work here and everything else is for optical or mice with scrool wheels and mine is a simple 2 button, no scrool.
I'm using the Microsoft drivers and it was detected and installed as a "Genius USB Mouse".

I remember this entry but I always removed it, I usually do a cleanup and keep only what's needed at startup, thanks for the confirmation.
In my case I guess it was an IRQ problem.

Genius Netscroll+. The newer drivers work properly.
