Just measured with an voltmeter, I have 4,88V on the connector. Not to high but not to bad either. Strange..

George didn't have a patch for KT400, and no I haven't tried the Omega drivers. Seems to have got the video card stable right now but I got the random reboot problem on my neck instead

I don't know. I'm really scared of beta stuff, I've had so much bad experience with it. And I've got a fresh w2k install now without via drivers/patches except for the agp driver, and the system seems to be quite happy without 'em.

Funny how that happens. If you still get the radomn reboot give George a spin. I haven't heard of him destroying a system yet unlike crappy via drivers.

Maybe you're right. I'll try after taking a ghost of the system.

Didnt have any problems with my KT133 and dont have any now with NForce2-chipset.

Oh god how big a bottleneck my 8500LE is right now... oh well R400 is coming. Running that radeon 285/285 if i rember the bios settings right... got something like 10600-10700 3Dblahblahmarks.

George is brilliant. Even his beta patches are better than VIA's drivers.

Gurm is totally correct about the VIA Latency patch. I couldn't have installed Neverwinter Nights without it on my KT133A (believe me I tried, even with the the latest 4indumb drivers and BIOS).

As for the Catilyst 3.0a, I had the same ikernal errors during installation on win98 (no surprise, really). What a rip. Good thing I had downloaded Cat2.5 before ATI pulled them from their site, so I can play NWN with shiny water enabled.
