    There is a product from a company:

    and also reviewed by:

    ==
    A PIII CPU on some motherboards and Bios's can be upgraded up to 1.4 GIGHZ. Either a penttium or Celeron.

    the Product is about $80. The CPU is extra. i.e.; a 1.4 GIGHZ Celeron is about $100.

    total cost would be about $180 for the CPU upgrade.

    Example Old Soyo 6bva-IV MotherBoard with an Award Bios.
    Has 300MHZ Celeron in it.

    Put new $80 adapter plus $100 1.4 GIGHZ Celeron CPU.

    For $180 now the computer is a 1.4 GIGHZ. running at 133MHZ Bus.

    FYI those interested.

    why pay that much for a powerleap solution when you can simply get a Slot-T adapter?

      well it doesn't really look like that 'Slot-T adapter' is doing any voltage regulation of it's own. Which is exactly what makes the Powerleap adapter special.
