WinME Wallpaper->Browse->lock

A friend of mine has WinME on a 1.6Ghz Dell P4. When he brings up the display manager (right click on desktop...properties...Desktop background) and hits BROWSE to pick a new picture...his cursor just changes into the hourglass, and nothing ever happens.

Any takers?

I noticed that on my box here at work, hitting "browse" will open the contents of the "My pictures" folder by default. I asked him if he deleted the folder, but he has to check on that.

I also asked him to see if all "BROWSE" dialogues have the same issue.

I also searched the MS KB, and came up w/ nothing.
