well, the owner of the computer we had modded kind of accidentily took off a load bearing piece of duct tape, and the thing kind of fell a part, so now we're working on doin the mods to my computer, which is a lot better for o/cing than the other one (which was a 400mhz). we got the air conditioner (hehe) all cleaned up and its sittin in my basement, it should work, but we haven't turned it on yet. we got intake and exhaust tubing too, now all we have to do is put it all together. im hoping we can at least get it done before february. note: with just the 2 (big) case fans we dropped the cpu on the 400 by about 18 celcius, and the air flow was insane. it was pumping out of all the ports on the back like there was no tomorrow, there was even air coming out of the floppy drive when you pushed open the door.

k, well, we scrapped the air conditioner, to loud and annoying, so we tried what i call Winnipeg cooling. i wont bother giving details now, ill wait till we develop the pictures.

                my comp not oc'ed http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=5676071

note: that was as much as i could overclock my cpu (even with the voltage at the max) and vid card, it ran perfect and still VERY cold

a little bit of column B, although the room itself wasnt cold, although the ducts were we wont be able to use it in the summer though, thats when "winnipeg" cooling doesnt work, but the fans alone will be able to drop it about 15 degrees
the total cost for all this was about 40 bucks canadian

i just gotta use the rest of my roll of film and then get it developed and scan em in, then ill post pics

edit: oh yeah, at one point it even got down to 12
mine was quite a bit higher, about 29 when overclocked, my old p4 is a lot hotter than my brothers northwood
