Nah, actually the readme mentions that 3dmark03 might be a bit low in parts with these drivers.

I'm the least you could do, oh yeah
If only life were as easy as you
I would still get screwed
I installed them, but haven't really tried any games yet.
I heard that they are very good, 16bit FSAA seems to work in most cases. The speed claims also seems to be true in some cases, read something about UT Flyby: Cat. 3.0a: 110 - Cat 3.1: 160
Which seems pretty amazing. I might test it later

Well, I uninstalled again, wiped the registry of ATI suff, removed ATI files from /windows/system32 and killed ati oem***.inf from /windows/inf
Then I re-installed DX9 (I forgot I had the beta, opps).
Then I updated my 4 in 1s
Then I installed the drivers
then the control panel
Still the same thing!!
3dmark2001 runs through, and other games seem ok, but UT2003 just goes black every few seconds.
Anybody know what I forgot to do?
Oh, I dont have XP service pack installed, I wonder if thats it?
Installed under XP using the manual update method to avoid that crap dumbfart that they insist using to annoy users. No problems with XP. Next the poison chalice ME.
The update 3.0a wouldn't install at all. It took one and half hours to install 3.1's.
Uninstall the control panel and then the drivers. Cleaned the registry and downloaded Driverheavens cleaner program. Said everything had gone. Checked with regcleaner and removed the ATI reg entries.
Rebooted back in normal mode error with display driver who cares they weren't installed. Ran the setup programme Ikernal error.
Noticed that I didn't have any VGA card detected at all.
Went back to safe mode and cleaned everything out again.
Back to normal mode and forced the vga card detection.
Rebooted and ran the setup program inf error.
Back to safe mode cleaned everything out and removed the reg entries from enum for the video cards. Disabled all background programmes.
Rebooted again and windoze detected and installed standard vga drivers.
Ran the setup programme seemed to run fine but crashed after 3 minutes with an inf error. Checked device manager the secondary head had been installed. Did a manual update on primery head and bingo they installed.
Rebooted and installed the control panel.
Bingo works. Everything seems smoother but why can't ATI do a proper uninstaller like Matrox.
Matrox should do a deal here. Design us a chip and we'll do your drivers.
