Program that makes it easy to transition sounds?

ie. Have two songs and need something to do a smooth transition between the two, but not the typical fade one out while the other fades in...

You can always try searching for a type of "mixer" program like DJ's use for professinal recordings and such.

The program I'm looking for is exactly as you said cking, "splicing the
two tracks such that they appear to the listener to be one". Catch is I thought there would be something out there that can do this without any know-how on my part. (Sort of like visual software )
