3DAnalyzer runs Reef Demo on non Matrox hardware now!

On my R8500 it looks really nice. I never know Matrox can actually do something like this. My friends saw it and their jaws dropped to the ground. Now if Pitou is in works

@Indiana: Agree, but then I guess on the other hand the demo is a selling point of the Parhelia... I guess it's a tough decision.

Gonna take some screen shots to promote Parhelia now (without banding heheh)

No. There is the following note on this site:

*NOTE*: Per the request of Matrox the demo links have been remove. We apologize for this inconvenience and ask that Matrox once again allow us to post the demo.

Again, pretty lame, IMO.
But then I have found a working link and got the demo working p:

P.S.: The 3DAnalyze patch seems to only work on the original ReefDemo. Once you've installed the upgrade (that is still available on Matrox' website), it refuses to work.

@Maggi: How did you enable the easteregg in the ReefDemo again?

Well, I can kind of understand why Matrox pulled the Reef Demo off their own server... Bandwidth can't be exactly free for them either, and most people wouldn't jump for joy if their corporate server (which is primarily intended for driver downloads) was clogged with huge numbers of downloads of some 100+ meg demo that people want to run on other manufacturer's hardware.

But why they don't want other people mirroring the Reef Demo is beyond me...
