Didn't work - when I posted the form it wouldn't allow me to do what I wanted, so the JS issues were irrelevant. Dunno what was wrong, I'll keep trying though (just editing the form by hand, saving, reloading can be too slow if I miss the number, then time to reedit...bleh).

Still, learned a 'heap' about JS, thanks guys

Shame... the nice thing about most JS is that if it works on your local machine, it should work when accessed on the server... no reason why not eh? (browser versions etc apart)

Nah, what I meant was that when I posted any data it did not seem to work.

Just thought I would close the thread off

Oh, and for context, we have web scripts which automatically give us the next item in the list, but through another utility we can aggregate multiple items, so I viewed this utility and tried that. Seems the server backend is also hardcoded to only give out the next item in the list...I thought I could bypass that and choose the item that I wanted.Oh well...
