We once supplied a computer system to a customer, they phoned up to say the boxes had arrived so someone went down to set it up. When they arrived they found two boxes, one with a monitor in and another with the speakers but no PC. The girl on reception had signed for it and the delivery note said 3 boxes. The courier company was phoned and said as 3 boxes had been signed for then 3 must have been delivered. Luckily for the customer, but unluckily for the courier, they had a CTV system, looking back on the tape it clearly showed only 2 boxes being delivered.

Thanks for all the suggestions

So far I've spent nothing. I may have to replace my best monitor (It is sad, but I can't live without 2 any more). I'll try a little tlc first though (clean out, check for dry joints etc). Also, I may have to spend the money on the house instead (long story, precipitated by a friend who can get the stuff @ trade leaving soon).

Hopefully I'll know where I am by the weekend.
