Very cool! If I didn't have "legobox" as my HTPC, I'd buy one. maybe. :-)

Floppy goes where the optional 6in1 card reader goes. You can have one or the other.

Anyhow this is really cool... Shuttle and Creative no chance now
I would assume it's self-controlled, because you can run the radio and mp3 player while the computer is off.

Additional hard drives go in your server, not in your home theatre box

So MP3s have to be in memory cards in the 6in1 or CD?
Or how can the "hi-fi" access the hdd when computer is off?

I always like to have a second drive for backup/restore purposes. It does have a PCI slot so maybe SCSI could be added.

As is, SiS video and home *theatre* don't really go well together. I suppose that's why MSI wisely calls this an "Entertainment and Gaming Appliance" rather than a HTPC...

Just back up across the network onto the server.

Yeah, I assume that's the case. If you want to play stuff of the hard drive, you have to boot it up. I'd probably leave something like this on most of the time anyway. Maybe just suspend it when not in use...

Depends what you're doing with it. If it's just for playing music and video, streaming from the server would be enough. If you're doing DVR type stuff (like Tivo), then an internal hard disk is more efficient.
