Hi,

i would definitely test it without the Audigy. I had the exact same probs some months ago (happy booting, no probs during work, but crashes when gaming with a strange sound) and it was solved with removing the soundcard.

Hmm I think that taking the Audigy out is the only option left. But that sucks because (a) it's wierd and (b) I'd rather have the machine running slower with decent sound than faster with the onboard sound...

The Audigy is in the bottom slot btw. Guru - do you have a soundcard in there as well?

Time for an update on this. I replaced my GF3Ti with my new 9800Pro. Gave it a few days, then cranked up to 166/166. It works great. No lockups, and I've put it through all sorts of stress. Everything else is pretty much the same in this machine. PSU, processor, MB, the Audigy is still there....oh, I removed my Promise RAID card when I put the Seagate in. Maybe that was it, now that I think of it. Hmmmm.

        Anyway, my problem is fixed!
