basically almost never (sometimes attaching something, sometimes I feel I just must restart/it's senseless to keep it on: it freezed and I've spotted this at 5 a.m. while lunaticing almost), but since it's currently "stable differently" I have automatic restarts few times a week usually...

Home PCs and previous job's PCs... Windows based of course. I'll check the uptimes on them next time I am around (still check their stuff out once in a while) - should be well over 3 months I think, possibly more.
I do not have the money to allow for hotswap devices...
As for work...well, we do sometimes have to reboot the thin clients, but can't recall ever hearing of a server rebooting. However, most system uptimes are not that great, about a year on average.

Yes, have I not advertised it enough? I work for Sun in Linlithgow It's not great...but it gets Sun on the CV...
The gaming rig is turned on on when needed, buecause there's 6 fans in it and its in bedroom.
The work rig is usually on when I get home, till mid-night. Sometimes I decide to leave it on for a day or too. I decide to turn them off to save fan life/conserve energy/cool down the components. (not that it really matters)
I'm quite lucky. I dont have to worry about such things. I have a Game called Raven Shield that reboots my machine for me. That aside, I tend to put mine into Hibernation. My box has 4 fans for the case, one for the cpu, one of the power supply and one (i believe) on the TI4200. Besides, it helps keep the bedroom cool but it makes one hell of a racket.
