  • Question about Windows and windows.

Does Windows allow windows to reside inside of other windows? For example:

Also, does Windows allow custom "buttons" on the windows in addition to the close, minimize, and shrink to taskbar buttons?

    1) Yes, if you use a Citrix box

    2) Must do - like skinning (eg WinAmp) and also (I think) software like UltraMon adds extra buttons for eg maximising on 1 screen or on both...

        Yes, and yes

For the first example, see any MDI application (Opera, Word...), for the second example: eMule has a fourth button left of the three standard buttons that minimizes to the systray. Also, there is a plugin for winamp that places play/pause/stop/next/last track buttons there in the application that is in the foreground.

Duh, I've got examples of both (Word and Winamp,) didn't even think about 'em. And Photoshop, and countless others... Thanks for the reminders.

The Welsh support two teams when it comes to rugby. Wales of course, and anyone else playing England
