I turned on the light, saw windowsXP's Fisher Price look and shuddered

I haven't tried cleaning the lens, I know there are lens cleaner's out there....

A little off topic, but I tried over the weekend to make my WindowsXP look like a Mac OS X. But after playing with it, I realized that you simply can't polish a turd.

Yeah, don't get me started on Windows XP... I posted a rant about it a few minutes ago and then deleted it when I realized Gurm would just say Microsoft is the only way to go.

F1 SCSI going for $200 on pricewatch. Also works on IDE.

The F1 is a good burner, sad to see it's their latest.

But of course, isn't Gurm also the one who just hates Mozilla? Can we say 5 lines of code, anyone?

Now back on topic.... I just successfully burned Morphix (http://morphix.sourceforge.net), so perhaps it's not quite time for an upgrade.....

@leech: I still have my Plexwriter 121032 SCSI. It died 3 months after the warranty period, then i wrote a friendly mail to Plextor's techsupport and asked for repair/exchange as a gesture of good will. A guy wrote back they'd "gladly exchange the defective drive with a refurbished one", I just had to fill out the RMA form. They (actually it was a guy from DHL) picked the old one up at my home on a thursday afternoon, the next monday morning I received the refurbished one, which ist still running nicely.

So, just try and ask them, at least their european service center is very good.

              Good luck!

Well, so far it's working, burned two different ISO's and no problems. I'm going to blame the problems on the actual files I was trying to burn earlier, for linux and windows didn't like them. Though at first I was wondering if it was just because I always have a billion other things I'm doing and Nero just puked 'cause windows is a piece of... well anyhow, it seems to be working and I'll have to give it a try again sometime soon.
