I'm currently sitting on a nice plush chair in a waiting area at work. Connection type ... 802.11b wi-fi, Cisco style. I must admit that I am very impressed. Surfing the web it at the same speeds as sitting at my desk wired. Only data transfers and emailing (server based exchange messaging) seem a bit sluggish.
Makes me want to put wi-fi in at home with a nice new LinkSys 802.11g router and cards.
The only question I would have is, does anyone have any Inetnet and LAN gaming experience with wi-fi? If so, does going wireless adversely affect your ping times for fps games?
If it's not that bad, I may have to drop the cash for wi-fi.
