Amigas are more pretty. lol and ultimately I only really ever look in my PC when I build or upgrade, never seen the point spending money making a PC pretty although making a desk pretty is another thing.

I'd love to get a G5, but I don't exactly want to buy one through Apple. Too bad you can't just go out and get parts and build your own and put whatever OS on it you want.....

That image from Apple that "shows" how much "neater" and "prettier" its in a G5 compared to a "PC" is soo wroong on soo many points it silly!!!

Its like opening the hood on a 1978 Volvo and besides it have a 2003 Audi, the volvo engine room looks like a mess but you can repair every part yourself!! the Audi on the other hand hasn't even any visible parts there exept the BIG engine "cover" that covers everything and you cant even change lightbulbs!!!

It fits only one, but talk about style...

On a more serious note, I once got an advert from a company that made special workstation desks. The top was divided in 2 sections: front for the keyboard, mouse, papers, ... and then an adjustable rear one for monitors. The monitors were positioned a bit lower and titled; it looked very ergonomic and comfortable (but I can't remember which manufacturer it was). They claimed it was aimed at CAD/CAM workstations, as to allow a more comfortable overview over large monitors.

Currently though, I'm also an Ikea Effektiv user.

            On the G5:
It could of course be that they made everything in slide-in modules (e.g. in stead of cables for the disks). It looks nice, but wheter it is practical remains open I guess...

Well, people managed to upgrade the cube, so they'll manage the G5 also

I'm a little late, but I want to add a vote for the Effektiv series. I particularly the "Effektiv T" variant, which has sturdier legs. I have an L shaped one at home (2 pieces) and it's amazingly solid, with TONNES of space. With my fairly heavy 19" monitor on it, as well as a pile of other heavy crap, I can still sit my huge ass on it (225lbs) with out it even creaking in the slightest. Worth the price for sure.
