If I'm not mistaken, TCP/IP has 65535 ports available to it. Of course many are usually reserved for certain apps. IE FTP uses 21, HTTP 80, etc etc, so w/o a more specific question with details, I don't know if we can help you more.Go Bunny GO!

Okay how many IP printers can you install on a win2k server using microshaft software.
Someone reckoned theres a max of 30.

Theres already 30 colour printers on it. The printers all print out very slowly. Reduce the number of printers and everything seems okay.
The person looking at it reckons that the server is hitting the limit of the max number of printers.
Spooling turned off apparently so they're printing directly to the printers concerned.

Also ealier in the year when all the students were using the colour printers, just before the deadline a lot of print outs failed half way through.

Here at work I have around 60 different printers configured and everything works without a hitch... Spooling is ON if I may add..._____________________________

Thanks Goc you've answered my question. 30 isn't the limit.
