Nope, it's back, more evident on the BNC. Asked my father to hear it and he couldn't tell.
Now, I'm still very susceptible to certain sounds, having had a deviated septum and nose polyps problem in the last year, it sort of created a small disequilibrium with my hearing too, to the point that certain high pitched sounds resonate badly in my left ear.
Doesn't seem to be the case here, though the sound still bothers me to a degree.

If it still bothers you, I would exchange it.

my Sony GDM200PS does that also... i sovled the problem tho...

Its the fact that my monitor has maxed out (sort of) at 1280x1024@85Hz... lowering the refresh rate to 75Hz works for me. The noise stopped.

Only does it in 640x480@60Hz, when the Windows 1152x864 @100Hz resolution kicks in it's gone.
If I switch to 640x480 60Hz again, it will make the sound for a few minutes till it stops. Doesn't do it in other resolutions @60Hz, just 640x480.

Got to find a way to change the DOS (VESA ?) refresh, changing everything to 85Hz with radedit didn't seem to do the trick.
