      i patched the moment i went back home.. i booted in win98 downloaded the patch and installed it on my win2k..
      Dont have xp at home which seem to the OS most affected.

        Personal PC? No.
        Work network....about 6 hours cleaning up that mess...

              I got it, and spend the better part of the evening to try to sort it out from the wrong end.
              I thought it was my new v.92 modem's put-dialup-on-hold feature that somehow spooked up, since just when the worm crashed me, a friend called.

              Don't forget to use firewall and antivirus (I didn't )

                  Seemed OK for me. Don't know much about these things, but would my recently installed ADSL router have helped in this case?

                            Nope nothing at home....I have a linksys Router and I patched my PC tuesday night when I first read about it...though I had it patched already.

                            I had a friend who got hit by it @ work another friend who has it at home.
                            Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?
