phew. Just scanned my computer with PCClinic 2002 that came with my Asus mobo. With the latest updates, no virus found

edit: Router blocked the problematic ports. Also I use hotmail only... so far i have not received any e-mails containing virus. (touch wood )

My router protected me from the blaster worm, and I didn't get a single copy of sobig at any of my email addresses. I don't use outlook for email, so I'd probably be safe from that one, but didn't get it anyway.

Give it a few days and you chose one of them. Unless you're not connected to the internet or using a Mac or Linux etc.

I've seen some people patched but still the virus so it's worth updating your virus just in case you're trying to infected someone else.

Also spreads via network shares. I know of cases where people use pegasus mail and the infection is on their pc.

Patched and up-to-date, but still I will only say:

              Not that I know of.

Well, I'm on Wme, and I stay clear of any M$ communication program (Using netscape). I *think* I'm fine, but have no firewall/router/viruschecker and/or updates etc, so who knows?

None of my Win2K machines were patched (and they still aren't). My router has a pretty basic firewall (more like a simple filter set) that probably shielded me from msblast and others, but if it didn't my ISP did by blocking the appropriate ports shortly after msblast hit. I have NAV installed (updated yesterday), so it should catch anything that comes through my email. I haven't received anything yet, though.

So I'm also unpatched and unaffected

                    Unaffected here, patched+firewall.

I'm stunned that people still use w9x os's...

Unaffected. Firewall prevents viruses like MSblast spreading. AVG prevents viruses from infecting computers from email and other sources!

                        unaffected,
I run windows update about once a month and I'm behind a NAT box

Patched and NAV caught the xxx copies of Sobig.F emailed to me.

No problems with a hardware firewall and NAV. Alot of people at work were infected on our lan.

Well I wasn't patched when Blaster and such came out, but my trusty Router handled the threat and I wasn't infected...

Not infected, not patched, no need. Sygate asks before letting anything connect to the internet, including NT kernel.
