    See if you can borrow a higher end psu from someone just to see if its actually the psu keeping you back.
    If you do need a new one, Antec stuff is great. Friend of mine got a Ultra-X Connect, its pretty good too. Even my 400W Vantec is damn good - nice and quiet too.

      Well, nothing's "keeping me back" now. But the PSU is genuinely failing. So I took xortam's advice and bought a Silverstone.
      Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.
