Nvidia allready out doing PR Bull.
While Valve states: Do NOT use beta drivers for testing (and have had to code specificly for nvidia, to even allow the game to run on their hardware), Nvidia states this:
"The Optimiziations for Half-Life 2 shaders are in the 50 series of drivers which we made available to reviewers on Monday [Sept. 8, 2003]. Any Half-Life 2 comparison based on the 45 series driver are invalid. NVIDIA 50 series of drivers will be available well before the release of Half-Life 2".
So basically we have a race: Do Valve get HL2 out of the door before Nvidia gets its "optimised" Det 50 out?
The fun part is, only Nvidia participates in this race. Valve just releases "when they are ready".
Oh well. More bull.
