nVidia to be left out of DirectX 10

NV38 seals Nvidia's coffin

Nvidia's NV38 (along with the rest of the FX series) has been dubbed as a substandard card by team dx. This means that DX will not include NV in it's developement range for directx10. Team DX made the decision "as a favor to the graphics industry". Team DX claims that NV violated their partnership agreement by changing the DX9 code with their latest set of drivers as caught by Xbit labs recently. This violates the licensing agreement and conpromises DX's quality in order to make it seem as if ATi and NV cards alike display the same image quality (which would be really bad in this case).

I bet you'd be surprised to learn that 98xxs can run at 32 bit precision as well, but ATi locked this feature in the bios since it runs so slow. But still faster than NV's 32 bit . And it's obvious from the latest 51.75 screens that at full precision, NV's suck massive ass. Quality up your ass!

Hey guys, in light of the discussion about Gearbox's decision to discard AA in favor of cool effects, I did some testing and found that HCX still works. HCX is my new technology that uses advanced shaders to sharpen images (especially textures) while also smoothing out jaggies. Works great with halo, but only in software mode for now...

Sorry, but as much as I love UT2003, I know that most o the info on the discs is just gray space. Ever scanned the CD with systemworks?
