How is Maxtors when comparing to Seagates?
In terms of not only reliability, but also performance and noise.

Up until this year only ever had Maxtor Drives, only one has failed on me but that was back in 1999, one did get close but has been running fine for the last 4 years.

Don't think I would buy Maxtor again, although if they aren't Maxtor anymore it isn't a problem.

I have two Deathstars and a Maxtor in my main rig at the moment

Isn't it the other way around ?

(or am I misinterpreting your sentence)

From high-performance ingest that powers AI applications and demanding data-intensive workloads, to massive, durable data lakes to fuel AI models, Quantum offers the most comprehensive and cost-efficient data management solutions.

In April_2001, Maxtor Corporation acquired our hard disk drive division, thus assuming all responsibility for customer support for Quantum's hard disk drives.

He meant he just loves the Bigfoot (not the hairy sort -or does he?).

That's a _reliable_ pal the Bigfoot. Big and all...
