Up until this year only ever had Maxtor Drives, only one has failed on me but that was back in 1999, one did get close but has been running fine for the last 4 years.
Don't think I would buy Maxtor again, although if they aren't Maxtor anymore it isn't a problem.
I have two Deathstars and a Maxtor in my main rig at the moment

Maxtor is no longer Maxtor. They are Quantum, which means good drives.

In April_2001, Maxtor Corporation acquired our hard disk drive division, thus assuming all responsibility for customer support for Quantum's hard disk drives.
