  • Mp3 loudness equalization

Subject may be confusing, so here is my question:

How do I make a large mp3 collection on a very slow k6-2 PC all have the same volume?

    There's a great program called MP3Gain.

    MP3Gain - A free automatic mp3 volume normalizer

Which not only does peak equalization, but does analytic normalization. It's VERY good for making mixes - or for tweaking an MP3 collection.

Now, if you meant "in realtime" then I'm sure there's some Winamp plugin that will do SOMETHING for you, but that's a crazy messy world. I don't venture into Winamp plugins too much.

Foobar2000 does also have a feature called Replaygain, where you can scan either per track or per album.
