You are chasing down an infection on your machine currently?...........
You did post that link?...........
It did get blocked by my machine and in particular the Adshield component of AdAware?........ (see pedigree attached?) You did not get the infection from that link then I take it ?.......
I still dont know (and by the looks of it dont want to know) what on that page.
LvR, your popup blocker is FUBAR or something... there's nothing even remotely wrong with his page, the source is very simple plain HTML with some text, a little formatting, and a couple JPEG's.

Follow the instructions on f-secures or symantecs site and you can remove the virus registry info in a couple of minutes!
I can't start anything first of all. Any .exe I click on fails. Secondly, it's been about a year or so since I reinstalled, I'm due, so I decided it was time. It is more hassle than it's worth to me. god knws what it did to my registry.

Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice.
I just got 4 e-mails, two of them (from a spaming PC shop here) had the W32.Swen.A@mm ! worm, one was a pseudo Microsoft security upgrade attachement and the last was a return error for a suposedly sent e-mail to someone at yahoo.
My ISP's server detected the worm, NAV 2003 detected and repaired them. I deleted everything anyway.
Any posibility there might be something left ?
My mate has probably just been infected with a virus/worm/spyware.
AVG has detected msblast on his machine, the Nachi worm and he has several dodgy looking processes using a lot of memory on start up. He only formatted about 2 weeks ago as well
