  • Address book broken

I tried to test the Silverfast HDR software and a small piece of a program that should launch HDR separatly (without Photoshop). I regret very much to have done it.
In Photoshop the HDR program couldn't find the scanner. So I tried to lauch HDR with this little pragram, which produced a small file in its directory automatically, as soon as I startet it. This file started curiously Outlook! Well, anyhow the program didn't work either. So I deinstalled everything. And since then, my address book was empty (even if the contacts are still there -- that means, if I want to send a new mail and click "to...", I find nothing. But if I look up the contacts, everything is there.) I re-imported the .pst file several times. Nothing helps.

There's a method for fixing this. Basically your contacts have become disassociated with your address book. You have to reassociate them. It's a bizarre, tucked-away process. Look it up in the MS knowledgebase, it's in there SOMEWHERE.

    I've done it twice now.

    I would still get screwed
