can running a laptop & a normal pc at the same time on the same desk be considered "multimonitor"?

I sometimes use dualhead (multiple cards) but it can cause issues, so the second card is currently disabled.

Triplehead... guess which card? One of the side monitors is also attached through a KVM switch to a secondary machine along with my keyboard and mouse.

Used to have 5 screens at work, albeit across two machines (3 for Reuters, and 2 on my main machine, on which sat Bloomberg so I really could have done with another screen just for that...). All LCDs - kind of obligitory in the front office of one of the largest corporate treasuries in the world Can never have enough screens IMHO and I feel VERY constrained with just one in my present role at work.

single card dualhead right now (trying out CTX PV722E 17" TFT, but it sucks. 25ms response is sloooow and colours look VERY differently from what they should look like).

                        @ work:
                        3 flat panels 15x18x15
                        1024,x768- 1280x1024-1024x768

Run by onboard intel and both outputs of a PCI G450.

Works amazingly well, and very useful.

Single + TV out, at least until I have found a good 17" LCD that will fit on my desk with my rather large 19" crt.

Single, Single + TV sometimes, might be tempted to get a second monitor sometime in the next couple of years.
