cat 3.9 is out!

Choppy game play is no longer noticed with attempting to play the game Home World 2

I like this. It stutters a little when shadows are enabled+it looks like crap. Lets see if that's what they've fixed.

I haven't experienced any stuttering with shadows disabled though.

Actually there seems to only be a problem with 9700 AIW's. Earlier models (and 9800 AIW's) seem unaffected.

I'm not on wtf anything. I've only had it work properly on three driver installs and one of those it disabled everything on the next boot. On the present one it's working but I disabled it too make sure it doesn't change it's mind. For a lot of people it works fine on others, less than with earlier drivers it caused problems.

My old rig used to have problems with Dumfart, this one doesn't.

I don't think dumbfart liked the AGP Pro slot.

I don't think AGP pro makes much difference(not for me), but haveing an agp 8X capable card certainly cranks up the odds of problems with smurfgart.

I only had problesm in the first couple of cataylsts when I tried redetect thing, but now it never seemsa to screw up...except when i redect it says it can support fast writes...but rebooting disables fast writes again but everything else is fine. Thats with a 8500 in a A7n8x's agp pro slot..

Got to admit the latest versions seem more stable as the number of complaints have gone down. Still I don't like it and wish you could do a custom install instead.

Seem quite nice. Sadly due to crappy creative drivers I'm going to have to re-install them later on due too a ghost roll back.

Omega's Drivers

Hey - anyone tried using the Cat 3.9 tweaked drivers from OmegaCorner? He's built a softmod for the 9800SE. Is the 9800SE like the 9200SE (64bit memory interface)?

The 3.9s improved (but not fixed) all of the graphic anomolies in "Enter the Matrix"...

Looking for an upgrade path on my 8500 128 Sapphire LE
