links were all dead on that page so did a little lookin around and found an automated way of patchind the drivers here, will try it after i have downloaded all the neccesaries.

automated update complete, seems to be working nicely although in device manager it still says audigy and has drivers dated 09/2002 even though i completely wiped them and succesfully(apparently) installed and updated the new ones, 09/2002 wasnt even the for my old drivers,anyway its all working with the new software so im not going to play with it.

I don't think you've installed them then, the new ones should be dated 10/21/2003 and are version 5.12.05.0441.
You could try to force install them via device manager.

weird, still says audigy, i forced the driver update and now it says audigy with driver 5.12.05.0441 dated 10/21/2003.it installed drivers for WDM processor, is this correct?

no such problems here im afraid, bit of a novice when it comes to this type thing so im just glad it all went (semi) smoothly. thanks for the info along the way.
