Not quite the upgrade this time

Back 2 and a half years ago I bought a 30Gb Deskstar. Within 2 months it started playing up so I got it replaced. Nice old IBM gave me a 40Gb. A month or so ago that then gave up, Just today got the replacement back - 41.1Gb - I was hoping for another upgrade

Still, at least I've got a new warranty - 3 years from now If this doesn't give up then it'll be a nigh on 6 year warranty I've had.

Are you sure most warrentys run from the orginal purchase date not becuase they supplied you with a new item.
