Done and done yesturday night. Neither helped.
If I won't find a way to fix it myself this weekend, I'll leave my computer at the store so they replace my board, I don't feel like de-reconstructing my computer all over again.

I forgot to add that if I hit [Del], I get a blank screen with a blue line at the bottom and the computer hangs.
Sometimes if won't even post afterwards till after a few retries (read: on-offs).

sounds somehow like the battery would be dead to me try to replace it and try it then i think that would do it!

FWIW, it's not just Abit and MSI...there was a huge lot of bad caps sent to vendors industry-wide.
Don't have specifics, but I personally do know of a LOT of brand spanking new Computers/servers that are proactively getting motherboards replaced that are merely "suspect", not necessarily bad, on warranty from IBM and it is because of Caps.
Local Vendors here report intermittent problems with Shuttle, MSI, Abit, and Iwill.

Flash it. No no - keep your clothes on! Get the latest BIOS for that mainboard and flash it. Don't reboot - flash it again, and again, and again. Try flashing it 5 times and see if it makes a difference.
And check your local dollar store for suitable batteries
