I like the new media library/playlist interaction (playlist jumping to file on doubleclick in ml, instead of clearing the playlist and adding but this one file, or merely enqueueing it).

BTW, how does your winamp look? I have mine in the upper left corner, playlist below extending to the bottom, library on the right and extending to the bottom right corner. I also have winamp deskband installed, so I have play, forward, reverse, and stop buttons on my taskbar.

    AZ
There's an Opera in my macbook.

No, I mean I like the media library. thats what i liked best in winamp 3, so I was very happy when they added it to 2.9

If they hadnt, I would prefer 5, but so far im not sure, but im using the rc8 anyway at the moment

I have main window upper right corner, playlist below that all the way to the taskbar, library fills the rest of the screen when active.

so except for the deskband, its just the other way round

Hey, cracking code is a fun and rewarding challenge. What have you done, besides have 5,000 posts? I think they've at least accomplished something.

Its a free compression format, Sony uses it in some of their MP3 players (if they can be called that when they dont play MP3)

Oh, did I hurt your feelings?
            My sincerest apologies

BTW: Thanks for reminding me of my post count
I had completely missed that I passed 5000

No, it's not a free compression format. It *is* an implementation of the MPEG-4 standard. To my knowledge, MPEG-4 depends upon technologies that require licensing.

                You are right
I mixed it up with another compression type

                  Edit:
Nevermind. It appears to have been a fluke.

You were probably thinking of ATRAC, originally what the Minidiscs used, now most of their portable CD players support it too.

There is no lossy audio compression format that's more proprietary than ATRAC

He was probably thinking about Ogg Vorbis.

its the best from 2 and 3, so they decided to call it 5 (2+3)
